Previous grants

The Glenorchy Community Fund has delivered over $260,000 in funding to community projects since 2010.

Some recent projects we have supported include

$2, 000 to fund cooking sessions for young people at the Karadi Aboriginal Centre

$4, 000 to Glenorchy Community Care for food relief

$4, 500 to the Claremont Library to purchase a range of audio and large print books for visually impaired people

$4, 500 to Claremont College to fund a Breakfast Club

June 2026 Glenorchy Community Fund Awards Night

It was a wonderful evening of celebration, connection and generosity as grant recipients, supporters and community members came together to recognise the impact of this year's funding. The night highlighted the incredible work being delivered across the community, while raising additional donations for the Glenorchy Community Fund. Thank you to everyone who helped make the event such a memorable success.

Almost $30,000 in grants were awarded:

$3,500 to Association of Ukrainians in Tasmania to develop the building frontage with a garden, memorial stone and storytelling board
$3,117.51 to Claremont Bowls & Community Club to replace an outdated hand dryer and UV blinds
$4,500 to Glenorchy City Brass Inc to purchase new student-grade brass instruments
$3,731.56 to Karadi Aboriginal Corporation to purchase tools and safe storage materials
$1,500 to ParaQuad Association of Tasmania to deliver Coffee & Connection mornings
$3,300 to Samoan Cultural Collective Tasmania to host a public celebration of Samoan Independence Day
$4,500 to Springfield Gardens Community STEM Club Inc to deliver an after-school STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) club
$800 to Cultural Nexus to deliver a community calligraphy workshop
$3,950 to Tasmanian Transport Museum Society for Stage 3 ground improvements
